COVID-19 PROTOCOLS:

It is such an honor to serve our community of maker families and we want to do what is best to keep our staff and students safe while they attend our camp program this summer. At this time we are choosing to keep our indoor mask policy in place. We believe this is the best choice for our camp as we are required to work in close proximity with each other to teach our lessons.

We are intending to spend as much time outdoors as possible, and during these times masks are not required. We will be setting up an outdoor classroom space each day to use for 1 of our daily lesson times and we will also enjoy our outdoor nutrition breaks twice a day. Extra visits to the park are also being worked into our weekly schedule this year.

Before coming to camp we ask that you use this screening survey and verify that your child is allowed to attend camp that day. If you are unable to attend camp because your child is required to isolate (currently experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 or have had a close contact with a positive case) we are offering refunds for days not attended for these reasons.

In the event of rain during nutrition breaks, we will have our campers eat indoors with physical distancing. Open windows and area fan ventilation will be set up in our classrooms to provide a fresh air exchange in our space.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation! Exemptions cannot be made to our mask policy.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you need to cancel your registration please contact agnes@mindfulmakers.ca as soon as possible.

Upon cancellation the following penalties will apply:

If you need to cancel because Public Health requires your child to isolate for reasons related to COVID-19 (ie. has COVID-19 symptoms, has been exposed to a positive case, etc.), we will offer you a 100% refund on your camp fee.

For other cancellations:

  • anytime after registration and up to 3 weeks before your session start date: a full refund minus a $35 + HST admin fee will be issued.

  • anytime after registration and less than 3 weeks before the session start date: a full refund minus $75 + HST admin fee will be issued.

  • Sorry, no refunds can be issued once camp has begun (except for reasons related to COVID-19)

Switching Sessions: If you would simply like to be moved into another available session rather than cancelling, we are happy to make this accommodation, free of charge.

Camp Credits: Alternative to cancelling, you may also choose to transfer your entire fee towards a Camp Credit for use in future camps (within 1 year), or you can spend your credits in our Camp Store for at-home kit purchases.

 Late Pick Up Policy:

We offer extended care at a very affordable rate, before and after camp which you may choose to register for at anytime up to 48 hours before the date needed. Last minute requests may still be accommodated on a case-by-case basis, but we ask that you please give notice so our instructors can be prepared to come in early, or stay later.

If you child is not enrolled in our Extended Care Program, and is not picked up by 4:30 pm, we will need to charge the $6/day Extended Care fee to cover our instructor's time for staying late.

If your child is enrolled in our Extended Care Program, and is not picked up by 5:30 pm, we will need to charge you an additional late fee of $10 for up to and including the first 15 minutes, and $10 for every 15 minutes thereafter.
