In this 5-day camp our Classic Camp students will get hands on with a range of maker projects including:

  • a cardboard robot toy with an integrated copper circuit to make it light up!

  • decorative planter pot with egg shell mosaic embellishments

  • earth buddy

  • gelatine plate mono printing + toner transfers

  • mini book making + collage and card making with gelli prints

  • circular loom weaving + pillow making

  • needle felting

  • baking decorative focaccia bread in the church kitchen

  • embossed leather keychain craft

Our Mini Makers group will enjoy a similar mix of projects listed above that will be modified to meet their skill level.

$349 plus HST

All materials are included in our camp price.

AGES:

MINI MAKERS GROUP: AGES 5 - 6

Students currently enrolled in SK and Grade 1 are eligible for this program.

CLASSIC CAMP GROUP: AGES 7 - 13

Students currently enrolled in Grades 2 - 8 are eligible for this program.

TIME:

Camp runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Drop-off starts at 8:45 am, and pick up is until 4:30 pm.

EXTENDED CARE:

If you require additional child care outside of these times, we will offer before and after care for a small additional fee.
AM care starts at 8:00 am and PM care runs until 5:30.

WHAT TO BRING:

We will be taking two nutrition breaks during the day to eat and spend time outdoors and playing games. Weather permitting, we would like to take the kids to visit Breithaupt Park once or twice during the week. This is a 4 minute walk from our location and features washroom facilities, a playground as well as a beautiful open field area and wooded hiking trails.

Campers should come with:

  • a water bottle

  • a nut-free lunch and snacks

  • a change of shoes (if it’s wet/muddy out)

  • appropriate clothing for the weather (dress in layers)

  • please wear clothing that can get stained. Some of our art activities can get messy!

  • Please DO NOT bring electronics (phones, tablets, gaming devices) to camp. If your child has one for emergency use it must be kept in their backpack and not used during camp time.

HEALTH & SAFETY POLICY:

Masks are no longer required, but are still encouraged as we will be working in close proximity with each other.

If your child is experiencing symptoms of any illness, please keep them home to rest. You may transfer your registration to a Camp Credit which can be used for a future camp program or in our online store.

CANCELLATION POLICY :

If you need to cancel your registration please contact agnes@mindfulmakers.ca as soon as possible.

Upon cancellation the following penalties will apply:

  • anytime after registration and up to 3 weeks before your session start date: a full refund minus a $25 + HST admin fee will be issued.

  • anytime after registration and less than 3 weeks before the session start date: a full refund minus $45 + HST admin fee will be issued.

  • Sorry, no refunds can be issued once camp has begun a Camp Credit for use in future camps (within 1 year), or you can spend your credits in our Camp Store for at-home kit purchases.
