Adult Weaving Workshops: Willow Obelisk / Plant Support

Time: 11 am - 4 pm (5 hour class)
Location: Kwartzlab Makerspace, 2nd floor, 145 Bedford Road, Kitchener
Workshop fee: $130 plus HST (all materials included)
In this workshop you will learn how to weave a garden obelisk from willow. Use this beautiful natural structure in your garden as a trellis for plants that love to climb. You can also repurpose it as part of your holiday decorating by adding a set of fairy lights, bows and greenery to dress it up with a festive flair. We will treat the finished piece with a weather protective coating of boiled linseed oil thinned with turpentine.
This is a beginner friendly course, no prior weaving experience is required. The finished obelisk will measure approximately 14" diameter by 54" tall ( be sure you have room in your vehicle to transport it home!)

We are not able to offer refunds on workshop registrations, however your seat can be transferred to another person. Please contact agnes@mindfulmakers.ca to let us know of any last minute changes.
We require a minimum of 4 students per class. Workshops may be cancelled if our minimum registration has not been reached by one week before the workshop date. In this case, a full refund will be issued.
