NEW basket club FORMAT!
We are excited to announce that Wonder Weavers is moving to Steckle Heritage Farm! We are opening up our beloved teens basket club to now include adults who would like to practice the art of basket weaving together.
Each month will offer a new weaving project as there is so much to explore in the world of basketry! Our projects will be designed to be completed in one session and will not carry over into other months.
Although students are not required to sign up for all scheduled classes, we encourage members to join us as much as they can. We offer a discount for members who sign up for the entire season.
This special series of classes will only be offered for five months of the year. It is a wonderful opportunity to take a deeper dive into building your weaving skills in a supportive group environment.
WHEN:
Once a month on a Saturday. Full day meetups between January-May 2026.
9:30 am - 4:00 pm
January 24 - small round willow basket
February 21 - willow tray/platters
March 21 - plaited and stitched soft rush basketry
April 18 - willow bird house
May 9 - plaited bark baskets + bark peeling

AGES:
This program is open to teens and adults who would like to spend time exploring the art of basketry.
WHAT TO BRING:
A lunch and water bottle. Snacks for sharing are encouraged!
Cost:
All materials are included in our workshops fees.
Single Registration - $150 + HST
Please note: there is a minimum number of students required to run this program. If we do not reach the minimum enrollment by 1 week prior to the session start, a full refund will be given.

REGISTRATION:
Classes will be kept to a maximum of 8:1 student to teacher ratio to ensure a quality experience.
REFUND POLICY:
We are not able to offer refunds on workshop registrations, however your seat can be transferred to another person. Please contact agnes@mindfulmakers.ca if you are no longer able to attend the workshop.
