Week 28

Colour scavenger hunt

Welcome to week twenty-eight of your Smash Book! Today, you will be exploring the beautiful rainbow of colours that exist in nature through a colour scavenger hunt.

Step 1. Take a walk outside in nature and reflect on all the colours you see. This could be a park, garden, or really anywhere with many different flowers and plants! As you walk, collect petals and leaves that are each a different colour. Make sure you are mindful to not damage the entire plant that you are collecting from!

Step 2. Using a flat, hard object, crush each plant onto the squares of your printout. The natural pigments from the plant should stain the paper, creating a paint-like effect! Once they are dry, you can label each section with the names of the colours you found on your scavenger hunt.

Step 3. Cut out the template using scissors and paste it into your Smash Book using a glue stick. Feel free to decorate this page with a design that reflects nature!
