Week 33
looking to the stars
Welcome to week thirty-three of your Smash Book! Today, you will be making multi-media art reflecting on our constellations.
Step 1. First, find some constellations you really like. They could be your zodiac constellation, or even ones you can see in the sky right now. If you need some inspiration, you can download our printable of constellation patterns.

Step 2. Using a white crayon on blank paper, draw the stars for each constellation. It may be difficult to see, so you can try placing small marks in pencil where the crayon stars need to go.
Step 3. Using watercolour paints, add colours of the night sky over top. The paint won’t stick to the wax, so your stars will stand out.
Step 4. Using a white marker, you can add lines between the constellations so their shape is more visible.
Step 5. For another style of constellation, you can try sewing your lines! Using white thread and a sewing needle, stitch lines between each of your constellation stars.
Step 6. Use a marker to label the names of each of your constellations! . Then, paste them into your Smash Book with a glue stick.
