Week 49

made with love

Welcome to week forty-nine of your Smash Book. Today, you will be documenting your favourite recipe.

Often time families will have certain dishes they make every year as part of a holiday tradition. In my family, perogies are a food that we enjoy as part of our Christmas Eve dinner. They are very labour intensive to make but are well worth the effort. Having lots of helpers makes the process more fun too. This type of dish requires a lot of practice to get the dough rolled thin enough and some extra care is taken to carefully pinch it closed so they won’t burst open while cooking in the pot. I’ve included a printable version of our family recipe if you are curious to try making this dish in your kitchen!

What sorts of special foods do you like to prepare around this time of year? Use our printable template or type up your own recipe card to include into your Smash Book. Bonus points if you have photos to include of the finished recipe.
