This workshop has been cancelled due to COVID-19 social distancing precautions.

Workshops will resume once we are given the green-light by the government to have people meeting in large groups again.

miniature story book scenes

In this one day workshop we will create a multimedia diorama depicting a miniature scene from a story book!

We were inspired by the work of artist, Marcella Ferreira with her whimsical little worlds inside a shadow box frame.

Students will be encouraged to come prepared with a story book scene in mind, and if they own the book we can photocopy the pages to be used as the backdrop to their creation.

DATE:

Friday, April 3, 2020.

AGES:

Our programming is intended for ages 7 - 14.

TIME:

Camp runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Drop-off starts at 8:45 am, and pick up is until 4:30 pm.

EXTENDED CARE:

If you require additional child care outside of these times, we will offer before and after care for a small additional fee. AM care starts at 8:00 am and PM care runs until 5:30.

The Cedars Worship Centre (aka Westminster United Church) 543 Beechwood Drive Waterloo, Ontario.

cost:

$85 + HST. All materials are included in our camp price.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

If you need to cancel your registration please contact agnes@mindfulmakers.ca as soon as possible.

Upon cancellation the following penalties will apply:

Cancellations anytime after registration and up to 3 weeks before your session start date: a full refund minus 20% admin fee will be issued. Cancellations anytime after registration and less than 3 weeks before the session start date: a full refund minus 45% admin fee will be issued. Sorry, no refunds can be issued with less than 48 hours notice before the camp start date.

WHAT TO BRING:

We will be taking two nutrition breaks during the day to eat. During these periods we will also be spending time outdoors and playing games, weather permitting. Campers should come with a water bottle, and a nut-free lunch / snacks. Please have them dress appropriately for the weather that week, including a change of shoes to wear indoors if it is wet out. As always, please wear clothes that can get messy/stained!
