Festive christmas wreaths

In this one day workshop we will design our own unique Christmas wreaths to bring a little bit of cheer to the winter season. We will use a combination of materials including, fabric, yarn, felt, corks, beads, wire, pine cones, wooden sticks, pom poms, ribbon, bells, etc.

Our wreath making process will focus on use of non-permanent methods of assembly such as: wiring, stitching, tying and wrapping items together. Glue will be used only when necessary so that the design can be modified as it evolves over the course of the day. Our goal is to create a balanced design for an overall harmonious and thematic visual display.

A set of battery powered LED string lights will be added for a final touch of whimsy.

Design themes are 100% up to our students to decide, but we’ve come up with a short list of ideas to inspire some creative imagineering:

AGES:

Our programming is intended for ages 7 - 14.

TIME:

Camp runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Drop-off starts at 8:45 am, and pick up is until 4:30 pm.

EXTENDED CARE:

If you require additional child care outside of these times, we will offer before and after care for a small additional fee. AM care starts at 8:00 am and PM care runs until 5:30.

cost:

$85 + HST. All materials are included in our camp price.

WHAT TO BRING:

We will be taking two nutrition breaks during the day to eat. During these periods we will also be spending time outdoors and playing games, weather permitting. Campers should come with a water bottle, and a nut-free lunch / snacks. Please have them dress appropriately for the weather that week, including a change of shoes to wear indoors if it is wet out.
