Hand embroidery + Felt applique

In this one day workshop we will create an adorable fibre art project that will put your decorative stitching on display.

We will be practicing our needle art skills with various types of decorative stitching using coloured embroidery floss on a stretched burlap frame. Felt shapes will be cut by hand to create this applique artwork.  Add some pizzazz using beads, buttons and sequins to give the project an extra level of whimsy.

We will have a variety of patterns to choose from, or sketch your own design for a one-of-a-kind work of art!

AGES:

Our programming is intended for ages 7 - 14.

TIME:

Camp runs 9:00 am - 4:00 pm.
Drop-off starts at 8:45 am, and pick up is until 4:30 pm.

EXTENDED CARE:

If you require additional child care outside of these times, we will offer before and after care for a small additional fee. AM care starts at 8:00 am and PM care runs until 5:30.

cost:

$85 + HST. All materials are included in our camp price.

WHAT TO BRING:

We will be taking two nutrition breaks during the day to eat. During these periods we will also be spending time outdoors and playing games, weather permitting. Campers should come with a water bottle, and a nut-free lunch / snacks. Please have them dress appropriately for the weather that week, including a change of shoes to wear indoors if it is wet out.
